Lawns and Landscaping
Accentuate the Positive: Plants, shrubs, and trees can all accentuate your home's appearance. Plants and flowers create coordinating color and fragrance. Shrubs can create instant walkways or boundaries. Larger trees frame your home and provide shade in key areas.

Planting Flower Beds: Before dropping the seeds, research the blooming times of annual and perrenial flowers. Some may bloom in the spring, and some in the late summer. It helps to mix a variety so that the flower beds are blooming through the entire season. Also, make sure to choose complimentary colors as well as flowers with similar watering and sunlight needs.

Focal Point: The focal point of your landscaping is your home. Balance and proportion are important things to consider especially when planting young trees and shrubs. Always keep in mind the mature height and size of the plants. Your landscaping should complement your home rather than compete with it.

Other Considerations: Before starting any landscaping project, keep in mind the existing areas of your home and property, such as irrigation and sewer systems, sun exposure, spouts and drains, storage sheds or dog houses, and existing trees that cannot be removed.
